Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. The group she formed with Ashley Monroe named Pistol Annies, with Angaleena presley and Miranda Lambert in 2007, followed by her release of her 2nd album titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe performing with Blake Shelton in the year 2015. she came out with The Blade. This album brought her fame and accolades. Ashley Monroe holds a position as the Assistant Village Manager for Riverside Illinois. She has fifteen years' experience working in the public sector, which includes nearly five year stints within Iowa City. In her role as the Assistant Village Director she is responsible for the Community Development and Building Department. This includes coordinating grant applications and finishing special projects. Ashley is accountable for the daily operations at Riverside Village, while also working to implement the goals and strategies for elected officers. Ashley's previous positions included municipal planning, government communications, budgeting, personnel management as well as collective negotiations. Additionally, she was involved in the climate change issue. Because of her involvement with local and national organisations as well as her work with communities that have populations of varying sizes, Ashley has gained insight on the complexities differences and similarities in how public organizations function. Ashley's courses are focused on leadership for public organizations and management as seen from the viewpoint of a practitioner with experience. As well as providing a context for current and future professionals Ashley stresses the necessity of adapting today's decisions based on ethics and strategic thinking in order to address challenges and take advantage of opportunities.
